[edit] Name order query

Hi Corey,
As you're the first entry in the Japanese Wikipedians category, you have the immense privilege and honor of helping me with what I'm sure is an easy query to handle. Currently the article on Muto Akira begins "Akira Muto (1883 – 23 December 1948) was a...". Which of "Muto" and "Akira" is his first name and family name?  Thanks, David Kernow 15:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

In response to your message, I'm pretty sure Akira is his first name, and Muto his last. In Japanese, the last name comes before the first. So in a westernized form, it's Akira Muto, but in Japanese it's Muto Akira. Cowmeister88 20:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks – I've moved Muto Akira to Akira Muto and will accept any and all flak should other folk convince me that this is a mistake. Best wishes, David Kernow 21:49, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note from a former CCHS Centaur

Hey Corey, I graduated from CCHS last year and found you through editing the school's page. I was just entertaining thoughts of expanding it and I also wanted to ask you how you made those graphics appear on your page (such as that stating your ancestry) since I currently have no idea how and my page is blank. Thanks. P.S. I'd prefer that you respond on my talk page so that I know I'll see it.

For more information on the boxes (userboxes), the Wikipedia:Userboxes pages should help. I myself havn't made any userboxes myself (the ones on my page are premade), but that page has a little guide on how to make them. - Cowmeister88 23:36, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. I don't plan to create any user boxes, just use premade ones. If you can tell me quickly how to do that I'd appreciate it, but otherwise I'll learn myself.

I could tell you how, but this would probably be more aesthetically helpful. The templates can be found on the links in my first message, or if you scroll up on the part I just listed. - Cowmeister88 23:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragonball Wiki

  • Hi there. I noticed you're fan of the Dragon Ball series, and I'm trying to recruit some fans from here to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 08:47, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Japan taskforces

In order to encourage more participation, and to help people find a specific area in which they are more able to help out, we have organized taskforces at WikiProject Japan. Please visit the Participants page and update the list with the taskforces in which you wish to participate. Links to all the taskforces are found at the top of the list of participants.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for helping out! ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 08:24, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Japanese Music Charts

Hi, I'm just writing to you to request your help and assistance in referencing the Japanese Music Charts. Through out alot of popular english songs I have viewed I have noticed that they have been noted as performing well in Japan and have also read that the Japanese music market it very big. But in saying this every song I have seen has not got a Japanese chart position in the charts box. So if you are into music and willing to try and provide information on the Japanese Music Charts it would be greatly appreciated so then wikipedia users can start adding the Japanese chart positions into the chart boxes for popular songs.
