[edit] Reviewing WP:AFC

Hi, when reviewing AFC, please do not blank entry that's not "copyright violations, personal attacks, or patent nonsense". Also, please provide a quick reasoning as to your decision so that the submitter and other reviewers can see. Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Templates have a common list that you can use. Hope that helps. KTC 21:53, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RfA

Hi, I would just like to kindly suggest that you withdraw your nomination for sysop. You are a newer editor, with a very limited array of experience at this time. If you are truly interested in becoming an administrator, please feel free to contact me on my talk page, or take a look at Wikipedia:Administrators. Hiberniantears 18:45, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 53 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.

I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! Chaser - T 19:37, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adoption

I saw your RfA get closed, and wondered whether you'd like me to adopt you. J-ſtanTalkContribs 19:48, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Sure, but I have to do FLVS, so I'm on the Internet a lot but most of it is school and not WP (which I love). In 2007, Wikipedia lay in ruins, and the words on the screen said: "Missingno. was here." 00:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

What's FLVS? And also, your signature is a bit long. Most people, in addition to their username (or links to their talk or contribs) usually just put something like "Cheers" at most. So anyway, just put {{adoptee|J-stan}} in your list of ubxn, and that will show I'm your adopter. J-ſtanTalkContribs 01:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Florida Virtual School. In 2007, Wikipedia lay in ruins, and the words on the screen said: "Missingno. was here." 01:16, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright. So to make things easier, you should install WP:TW for now, and there is another tool you can get later. Follow these instructions. If you have questions, let me know. J-ſtanTalkContribs 01:45, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Did that. MISSINGNO. was here. 01:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Good. How familiar are you with policies? If you aren't familiar, you should definitely familiarise yourself with them. Wikipedia is built by consensus, and policies and guidelines represent consensus.
Now that you have twinkle, go vandalism-hunting! There should be a box on the left side that says "Recent Changes". Click on it, and then click the link that says "Hide logged-in users". Then look for some edits of large size, click the "diff" tab, and use the rollback feature if necessary. If it is clear and obvious vandalism, use "Rollback (Vandalism)". If you are unsure, use "Rollback". If you see edits that look like the editor had good intentions, use "Rollback (AGF)". If you don't see these, check the history; someone might have beaten you to it. Also, make sure you are not in Internet explorer. Twinkle doesn't work in IE. J-ſtanTalkContribs 02:05, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I might have problems w/ it, since I use Opera. MISSINGNO. was here. 18:00, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I think it only currently works in Firefox. If possible, you should get Firefox. It greatly helps the editing experience. If not, I can see if I can get AVT working for you. Besides adding the code to your js page, you need to add a few lines to get the rollback and warning tools. J-ſtanTalkContribs 17:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
I used to use it, but my parents forced me to uninstall it because they think that anything downloaded from teh Interweb will put a million million EiB of viruses on the computer. MISSINGNO. was here. 23:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

(indent) LOL, Parents *scoff* :) Well, AVT can do pretty much everything twinkle can, but in addition to putting in the code at WP:AVT, you'll have to add this to your .js page:

importScript('User:Lupin/autoedit.js'); //[[User:Lupin/autoedit.js]]

That will give you the rollback and warning functions. Rollback is automatic, but it shows you the edit form just before it saves it. Warnings are semi-automatic, it puts the warning where it needs to go, but you have to save the page. I don't know if it adds the next level warning, or just a {{uw-vand1}}. Just make sure you have the "use non-admin rollback" option selected on the filters. J-ſtanTalkContribs 01:55, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Makedonsko Devoiche"

In the Articles for deletion thread [1] for this article you voted to delete it because there were not enough sources to show the notability of the article. However now several very significant sources have been added to the article that show the notability of it. They are::

Please reconsider your decision to delete this song. Several editors have compared this song to epic historic songs. This is what one editor said "It's analogous to deleting Waltzing Matilda, I Still Call Australia Home and The Wild Colonial Boy which are songs well known by Anglophones."

[edit] CopyNight Orlando

Hi CJMiller! I see you're from Florida. If you're in the Orlando area, please check out this brief survey. I'm looking to start a meet-up of CopyNight, a monthly social discussion of copyright and related issues (like Wikipedia, Creative Commons, and open source). If that sounds neat, please answer this short survey to help with scheduling the event. Thanks! --Gavin Baker 05:29, 5 November 2007 (UTC)--Gavin Baker 10:52, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AFC red / green

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/2007-11-24 You have accepted/created an article, however on the AFC page it says in red "rejected". Hope it helps. :) 83.254.213.190 (talk) 00:23, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your RfA was unsuccessful

I am sorry to inform you that I have closed your RfA early as realistically it was no longer capable of succeeding. Do not be too disheartened - many of our finest admins were unsuccessful on their first attempt. Your contributions to the encyclopedia are appreciated, but you are simply do not yet have the sort of experience people expect of administators on this project. I hope will continue to participate here and might consider running again in the future when you have more experience. Best wishes, WjBscribe 23:09, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to Gardevoir

Please do not recreate the page over the redirect, as the individual Pokemon articles were determined to not meet Wikipedia:Notability (fiction). If you wish to press on the issue, then bring it up at WT:PCP. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 22:37, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Germany Invitation

Hello, CJMiller! I'd like to call your attention to the WikiProject Germany and the German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. I hope their links, sub-projects and discussions are interesting and even helpful to you. If not, I hope that new ones will be.

[edit] RfA Coaching

Greetings, I just noticed that you had a request for Admin Coaching on the Admin Coaching Page. I have removed the request because you are not ready to become an admin. Please see the general guidelines for what most people are looking for in an admin here or my guidelines. If you don't know what your edit history looks like, please check out Kate's Tool. I encourage you to come back to the coaching page when you get closer to being qualified for adminship.Balloonman (talk) 05:43, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AutoWikiBrowser

Question!

You only have 264 edits so far. Per rules, you are denied to use AutoWikibrowser for having less than 500 edits. But i quote this reason:

I want to be able to add templates to pages (the brunt of my edits) more quickly.

. What do you mean by that? --Party!Talk to me! 18:52, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: AWB

Okay, i'll talk to a admin about this request. There is a way to insert tags into a page without the recourse of AWB. Look into WP:FRIENDLY for tags. It can help. --Party!Talk to me! 04:00, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Admin coaching request status

You have expressed interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. However, after reviewing your edit history, I feel you may need more experience editing (i.e., >2,500 edits & 4 months of activity) on Wikipedia before you can know for certain your ready to begin the process of becoming an administrator. Therefore, at this time, your application for Admin Coaching has been declined.

My suggestion would be to seek adoption from a more experienced user who can help you experience all of the various components of editing an encyclopedia. If you decide adoption is not for you, there is also the editor review process that may help you find areas to improve upon in our editing. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to leave me a my talk page. MBisanz talk 21:28, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WWE/WCW World Heavyweight Championships

The World Heavyweight Championship of WCW and the World Heavyweight Championships you see today on WWE are not the same title. WWE indicates very clearly that history and linage are two very separate things. It is no question that the World Heavyweight Championship of the SmackDown brand is of the same linage as the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Why? Because the World Heavyweight Championship of the SmackDown brand spun off of the WWE Undisputed Championship (The last true form of the WCW Championship). This was done much in the same way as the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was spun off of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship or the original World Heavyweight Championship, if you will. Championship history however is another story. WWE has made it clear time and time again that Chris Jericho was the official LAST holder of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and that Triple H was the FIRST holder of the World Heavyweight Championship presently being defended on the SmackDown brand. The theories that suggest the reason as to why both share different title history pages on WWE.com is because one page is about the title's time in WCW and the other about its time in WWE are just bad interpretations of the information that is presented. It is clearly stated that Triple H is the first World Heavyweight Champion. Again, linage and title history are two very different things. Both titles are different and are only related because of the fact that one was created from what remained of the other. If the actual design of the belt is what is leading you to believe the opposite, then perhaps this article written by for WWE creative member can explain things better. [edit] Re: Pseudo-stupid question...?

"If your message is rude, templated, and/or begins with "Welcome to Wikipedia!", it will be reverted instantly without a reply. Note: Thank you notes in templates are not included in this warning."

Why? CJ Miller. (That's my name.Don't wear it out.) 02:34, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Well there are a few reasons. If it rude then it probably isn't in line with our Civility and No personal attacks policy, which is why I won't bother to read it or reply. For the templated ones, more specifically templates like {{test1}} which say "Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia, etc." or ones that say "Welcome to Wikipedia", those templates simple do not need to be on my talk page. I've been with this project since 2004, so templating long-time editors can be patronising. Hope this answers your question. — Κaiba 17:19, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
