In semi wiki retirement. No great falling out - just doing lots of other things. I continue to use Wikipedia as an information source. If I'm reading Wikipedia and I find a broken link, or similar, then I fix it. May come back and contribute more actively again - who knows?

I like to think that I'm one of the WikiGnomes - albeit one on an extended Wiki vacation.
My wikipedia time goes up and down, but when I am around I can generally be found trying to wikify Deadend pages - often referring to Wikipedia:Cleanup resources and to WP:WSS/ST.
Interesting what you can find there. Did you know that Trinidad and Tobago has a public holiday with the wonderful name of Spiritual Baptist Liberation Shouter Day or why its called that? And do you know what the Demoscene is? I learned the answer by wikifying Pygmy Projects. Please Note I do now know the answer to the preceeding two questions! I quote them as an example of what I've learned during my time on Wikipedia.
Since I delve in deadend pages I do periodically propose deletions. I have therefore gone down in Wikipedia history as the newby who proposed deleting John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt - whoops! But the process worked! We ended up with a much improved article, I learned something new and nobody bit the newcomer.
