Christian-John Monias(born january 4 1992) or Cjaysoulja or just Cjay, is a rapper from James Bay northside of Quebec and is well known for his rapping, and his technique of freestyling, usually uses the term "Northside" or "Up North Smoke" and is founder of underground hip hop label Dopeshack Exclusive. Cjay and Dj Madd Mo work with Screwed & Chopped music, wit other label mates Mc Ice Pik, Dopefiend,JayBee and Jamz. Cjaysoulja's Dopeshack Exclusive Presents: Soulja'z Mixtape is coming out by the fall of 2007 with Screwed & Chopped Double disc.

At a young age, Christian become fascinated with Screwed & Chopped music, and freestyled to any song he could get his hands on. Born in Winnipeg Manitoba. Christian was adopted by his aunt and uncle Robert Monias and Eleanor Monias, and moved to Chisasibi, James Bay Christian never really liked the way he lived, developet a heavy smoking habit, and started hustling at a young age, living a rough life, the only way Christian was able to reach out was with his venomous rhymes, and mind full of words, Cjay began rap battling other rappers from the northside such as JayBee, Yung-Warrior and Sixx Fo. Winning his battles, he still thought it wasn't enough, and never got the respect he wanted,Cjay began a underground rap label with other rappers/friends Dj Madd Mo and began making mixtapes, and freestyling on tracks by Yung-Warrior

Sixx Fo or Steve Einish , never got along wit Cjay, and claimed that cjay's raps were'nt good enough, Cjay regonized this as jealousy, and dissed him with a track called Took 5'9 To Beat Ya. Sixx Fo Never Replyed, Cjay didn't like Sixx Fo either, saying that he talks to much trash, Sixx Fo Claiming that he "Mugged" Cjay's Friend Hamish aka Dopefiend. it is also believed that this controversy is because steve claims that he's a Bloods and Cjay Claiming that he's a Crip, regarding that Cjay is always dressed in blue and never red.
