[edit] Padiham

Thanks for contributing to the Padiham article. If you haven't yet done so, please do read WP:UKCITIES for guidance on how to write about settlements, though, so that you can avoid the need for someone else to later Wikify what you write, and in particular WP:UKCITIES#Dos_and_Don.27ts on avoiding lists. Once again, though, thanks for the input! Crac4543 09:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Little context in Shelfleys

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Shelfleys, by Useight, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Shelfleys is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Shelfleys, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Shelfleys itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Cranfield University arms.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cranfield University arms.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:56, 9 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — mholland (talk) 00:56, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Snow CM02.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Snow CM02.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Snow CM02.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Snow CM02.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 12:40, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Rectory Lane Snow 2007.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Rectory Lane Snow 2007.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] License tagging for Image:Stephenson Railway Bridge Blisworth England.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Stephenson Railway Bridge Blisworth England.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Notability of Joan Heal

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Joan Heal, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Joan Heal seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Joan Heal, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Image Copyright problem

Hi Cj1340!
We thank you for uploading Image:Hoggart LD Conf Brighton 06 2.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. [edit] AfD nomination of Darius Guppy

I have nominated Darius Guppy, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Darius Guppy (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? NonvocalScream (talk) 17:11, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Darius Guppy

Note that I was planning to reinstate the article on Mr Guppy but you forced my hand. Swift action was required to improve the article to save it from those who instantly try to delete such articles - such action is sadly commonplace here. I am quite experienced in the saving of such threatened artciles. Please note the stricture that I have written at Talk:Darius Guppy#Boris Johnson. If you really want to say things about Boris, then please do so at the Boris Johnson article. Colonel Warden (talk) 20:22, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, obviously I've touched someone's funny bone - carry on.

[edit] Maintenance tags

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cranfield University, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you.Million_Moments (talk) 12:14, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
