An example of a civil defense siren (also called a warning siren or tornado siren), found at Baran Park in Milwaukee, WI. This model is a Penetrator P-50 from Milwaukee based American Signal Corporation (ASC) which has an acoustical rating of 135 dB @ 100 feet, and has been recently modified with lower horsepower motor & battery backup.
