The Civil Air Patrol corporate seal is controlled via 36 U.S.C. Section 40306. The CAP seal may generally be used only on:

  1. CAP vehicles. (changed to MAJCOM shield 13 MAR 07)
  2. CAP-owned equipment.
  3. CAP publications and web pages. (changed to MAJCOM shield)
  4. Certain CAP invitations, greetings, and programs.
  5. CAP Stationery.
  6. Membership cards.
  7. Signs identifying CAP units.
  8. Certain CAP posters and other informational or recruiting materials.
  9. Civil Air Patrol business cards.
  10. Approval from NHQ CAP/XPP for any purpose must be obtained.

Use of the seal in advertisements is prohibited.
