Civitatis International is a London-based transnational, humanitarian, and legal research project comprised of academics and professionals who work to improve the human condition through research, advocacy, and consultancy. Also known as Researchers Without Borders, the think-tank that was founded in 2002 at a Council of Europe sponsored conference.
Civitatis seeks to provide constructive solutions to global problems relevant to policymakers and stakeholders in a practical and legalistic manner, through our independent research. Its associates advocate the rule of law and the protection of basic human rights as a means for ensuring good governance justice and equality for all peoples, constitutional protection of political freedoms, and the universal right to democracy. Civitatis International advocates that states and international institutions have a responsibility to protect the basic rights of all peoples and that systems of global governance are the optimum means to ensure this.
