CIV was a band from New York City. The band is named after its vocalist, Anthony Civarelli. Both Civ, Arthur and Wally are former members of Gorilla Biscuits, while Sammy played in many hardcore bands including Youth Of Today, Judge and Gorilla Biscuits.
After the break-up of Gorilla Biscuits, Civ opened a tattoo parlor on Long Island. After Quicksand signed to a major label, Walter re-united a late version of his former band, wrote them a record and produced it, resulting in Set Your Goals. His presence was notably absent on their second full length, Thirteen Day Getaway.
Shortly after the releasing Thirteen Day Getaway, CIV disbanded in 2000.
They are best known for the single "Can't Wait One Minute More," which, as of the summer of 2005, was being used in a Nissan commercial.
Lou Koller from the New York hardcore band Sick Of It All provided additional vocal tracks to the song "Can't Wait One Minute More".
