re: 1633 (novel)
This template fills in the blanks in {{Cite book}} and uses the same field names. Specifying a 'default' field name (e.g. isbn) will override the default, which in this case, is the isbn for the 1st ed. trade paperback.
- If this template is used to cite the ebook or hardcover, then edition must also be changed. (For hardcover cites just use: {{Cite 1633}}) Similarly, date would need changed when citing either, but not origdate, which is correct.
- The first time the template is used on an article page, use the long/l switched mode:
(|long=1, or |l=1)
- The output needs nested in
<ref>{cite book| ... }}</ref>
manner since wikimarkup will not allow enclosing the <ref> ...</ref> tags within a template until release 1.4, if then.
Optional (Non-standard named) fields are: pp= (alternative for pages=) q= (alternative for quote=) ch= (alternative for chapter) l= or long= gives full output--use only for each first use on each page.
