re: '1632 (novel)'
This template fills in the blanks in {{Cite book}} and uses the same field names with a few exceptions.
- Specifying a 'default' field name (e.g. isbn) will override the default, which in this case, is the isbn for the 1st ed. hardcover.
- If this template is used to cite the ebook or paperback, then edition must also be changed. (For hardcover cites just use: {{Cite 1632pb}}) Similarly, date would need changed when citing either, but not origdate, which is correct.
- The first time the template is used on an article page, use the long/l switched mode:
(|long=1, or |l=1)
- Similarly, date would need changed when citing either, but not origdate, which is correct.
- the output needs nested in standard
<ref>{cite book| ... }}</ref>
manner, - at least until release 1.4 allows embedding ref blocks inside templates.
Optional (Non-standard named) fields are: pp= (alternative for pages=) q= (alternative for quote=) ch= (alternative for chapter) long= or l= (define TRUE (anything) to display full book cite format, when FALSE, gives abbreviated list above.)
