[edit] Fair use in citiapartments

This is a full-resolution logo from the website http://www.citiapartments.com, used to illustrate the article about the company that uses the logo. The resolution is relatively low to begin with, and it is important to keep it relatively high quality to fairly convey the branding image the company is trying to maintain. The entire logo is used, including the text tag-line beneath it, for similar reasons. "Restoring San Francisco's Neighborhoods" is an important part of the company trademark as well, and illustrates the company's recent attempts to soften and improve its image. It is irreplaceable because any other image would not be a real presentation of the company's logo and branding image. The purpose is to identify the company (the logo is ubiquitous and well-known among people who rent apartments in the region), as well as illustrate the company's branding message. The logo could not be used for piracy, nor does its use in the article detract from the copyrighted purpose, to rent out apartment space.
