The Eaton (City of Norwich) School, more commonly known as CNS, is a secondary comprehensive school situated in Norwich, Norfolk on Eaton Road. It has over 1600 pupils and currently employs over 40 staff.
As well as being a secondary comprehensive school the school also has a sixth form, in partnership with the smaller Hethersett High School, with 450 pupils.[3]
Former pupils include author Peter Trudgill[4] and turkey magnate Bernard Matthews, who was offered a scholarship in the 1950s.[5]
The school was refurbished in 2007. The Arc is a brand new building, as is The Skinner block.

[edit] Charities Week
CNS Charities Week is a week usually in late November or early December where the students and members of staff attempt to raise as much money as possible for a charity of the school's choice. The charity chosen in 2007 was Bryan Gunn's Leukaemia Appeal. 2007 highlights included the charity auction, X Factor and the CNS Talent Show.
