City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow (सिटी मॉन्टेसरी स्कूल, लखनऊ) is a private school that offers education up to the level of under-graduation, in Lucknow, India. Founded in 1959, by Bharti Gandhi and Jagdish Gandhi. By 2007 its enrollment had reached 32,000 pupils, a world record [1]. The school has been ranked 6th in the "most respected secondary schools" in India in 2007.[2] This school, although, is severely criticized because of the excessive show-off game it plays, and the way it destroys the soul of its own motto.

CMS strives to inculcate in students the philosophy of 'Jai Jagat' (Glory be to the World!). This thought empowers them with a global perspective and the concept of world citizenship. They have successfully inculcated the given qualities in the students.
City Montessori School, popularly known as CMS, with its many branches is the world's largest private school in a single city, recognized by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination for ICSE and ISC. It organizises many competitions, including WIZMIC,EXSPO,COFAS,QUANTA,MACFAIR ETC. The school has a high fee structure and its impossible for a common man to afford the fees.

CMS,RDSO was established in 1964 under the guidance of Mrs.Preeti Kaur.The school evolved progress under the leadership of former principals,Mrs.Sindhi and Dr.(Mrs.)V.Kamran(presently principal of CMS,Kanpur Road).The present principal Mrs.Swapna Mansharamani is leaving no stone unturned in her efforts of taking the school to new heights with dedicated hardwork and sense of discipline.It is the most progressive branch and best branch of CMS.The vice principal is Mrs.Neerja Ravindra.
