The City Academy, Bristol (often referred to as City Academy Bristol, and sometimes inaccurately as Bristol City Academy) is a non-selective academy in Bristol, England which opened in September 2003. It forms part of the UK Labour government's scheme for providing better schools in deprived areas.
The school is located in the Easton area of Bristol and was formerly St George Community College. It is now housed in state-of-the-art buildings within a £30 million complex. In 2005/2006 the school had 1279 students, of which 317 are in the post 16 age range. The Academy also provides adult education to about 1200 people.
Both the University of the West of England and Bristol City Football Club are partners with the school and helped fund the school's lavish buildings and top-of-the-line equipment. The school has frequently been featured on news programmes as one of the most successful state-funded schools in Bristol (which has an unusually large problem for such a rich city, with most parents sending their children to private schools if they can).
