Citizen LA

Citizen LA is a monthly magazine about arts, culture and lifestyle in urban Los Angeles, California. First published in January 2007, it is principally known for featuring the work of Los Angeles artists and championing the writing of local authors such as Guy Zimmerman of Padua Playwrights and novelist Jim Marquez.
Among the Los Angeles artists featured since it's inception are Matt Aston, Robbie Conal, Shepard Fairey, Richard Godfrey, Esteban Oriol and Robert Vargas. Mixing humor and satire with political and social commentary, Citizen LA celebrates the rich cultural milieu of downtown Los Angeles and its surrounding communites. This unique magazine supports the artists and cultural institutions coping with the challenges and changes posed by a growing, upscale urban population.
