Cis-Lunar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The word cis-lunar came from Latin and means "on this side of the moon", "not beyond the moon", and may refer to the scuba sets described here, or it may refer generically to space travel or astronomy.

Cis-Lunar was a firm who made computer-controlled closed-circuit automatic rebreathers for scuba diving. Some of their production models were in a streamlined casing that had a characteristic "frog's back" humped shape. Their name is Latin for "on this side of the moon": the firm's first plan was to develop spacesuit kit. The firm has been taken over by Juergensen Marine.
