[edit] Generally regarded as the best school in Cirencester?

Deer Park and Kingshill are both highly rated schools. Which is the better is a matter of opinion as there is no clear evidence either way. GCSE results. In 2004 and 2006 Deer Park exceeded Kingshill in terms of % of students achieving A* to C. In 2005 and in 2007 Kingshill beat Deer Park. see BBC website Contextual Value added. Raw GCSE results are sometimes seen as unfair as they penalise schools with a less able intake. CVA scores in 2006 were 1007.3 for Deer Park and 1009.1 for Kingshill. Kingshill did slightly better but as I have indicated got slightly worse GCSE results.see BBC website Ofsted. Deer Park was rated as a good school with outstanding features on the last Ofsted inspection in 2006. Kingshill recently was inspected and although the report is unpublished as yet, it scored outstanding in every category. All this is a bit anal I know, but what it does show is that Cirencester has two excellent schools and neither should be listed as better than the other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Torp101 (talk • contribs) 17:45, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
