Circle of Thorns is an American heavy metal band comprised of A. J. Pero, Steve Irons, Jimi Brix, Johnny Young, Rico Mancini, and Sean Egan. Their self-titled debut album Circle of Thorns was produced by Marc Phillip Altman & Rico Mancini for COOLMUSICINC.COM/"COOL PICKS" and recorded at CACOON STUDIOS in New York City between March 2007 and February 2008.[citation needed]

Jimi Brix, Johnny Young, and Steve Irons were formally Dark Black Past. A. J. Pero, currently the drummer for Twisted Sister, recently joined forces with guitarist Steve Irons to form the band Circle Of Thorns. Both were official members of Cities.
The bands influences are Alice in Chains, Nikki Sixx, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, Velvet Revolver, Black Label Society.[citation needed]
