[edit] re:User - 216.160.236.24
Hi, I was unsure where to report this guy. I know you're against vandalism, so maybe you can sort it out. He vandalised this page (Link is to the comparison between my revision and his vandalised one), as well as this page. Where do I report him? And is there a way to ban him from editing pages? Double Dash 20:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- You report them to WP:AIV after they have already been issued t1-t4 warnings. I'm only showing 2 edits for him, which is rarely enough to merit a ban. Let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, Alphachimp talk 20:45, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] In case you missed it on the Articles for Deletion page
Hi there. In case you missed where I mentioned it on AfD, Screw the Banker contains all the information you need to know on the games that everyone cares about (Madie's excluded, we've kinda had to extricate that one out of the memory..) Bobo. 05:41, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Double Dash said: Thanks for the URL. The reason I don't want the articles for DOND deleting, however, is because I know that I (and many others) have put some work into these (others more than I have), and it'd be a shame to see it all go to waste.
I agree you've put a lot of work into it, and I'm going to make sure that work is not wasted on your behalf. Thank you very much for your effort into improving this article, futile though it may prove to be, and I'm sorry it looks as if it might go the wrong way. Bobo. 17:52, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Double Dash said: Hi, I'm guessing that the Series 3 article deletion passed? The article isn't there anymore.
The Votes for deletion debate can be found here. Indeed, the final decision was to delete the article. Sadly that's the way the other two look like going in the future, it's just a matter of time before someone nominates them. Bobo. 01:49, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Original research
To quote WP:OR:-
-
-
- Original research is a term used in Wikipedia to refer to material placed in articles by Wikipedia users that has not been previously published by a reliable source. It includes unpublished material, for example, arguments, concepts, data, ideas, statements, or theories, or any new analysis or synthesis of published material that appears to advance a position — or, in the words of Wikipedia's co-founder Jimbo Wales, that would amount to a "novel narrative or historical interpretation".
-
As far as the articles go, the only reliable source when it comes to the Pokédex entries, is an official guide of the games themselves. While it may seem obvious, it's still original research. Sorry, Highway Return to Oz... 16:54, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About your edit to Magmar
Hi! Welcome to the Pokémon Project! I understand what your reasoning was behind reverting the Serebii.net references to Magmar. However, those references are necessary in the article, as they point to the specific page on Serebii where that information came from. If the only link to Serebii was to Magmar's Pokedex page, it may be confusing for people to determine where any other information about Magmar came from on that website. If you still don't understand that, since I don't think this explanation might not be good enough, you are welcome to ask me or anybody else for more information. It looks like you are another useful editor. We hope you enjoy working on the pages here! PCEevee talk 19:28, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Those lists will have to go eventually. Basically you put in a summary of how the Pokémon was significant in each episode instead of adding an entire list. (If you ever need an example of what you should do about a Pokémon species article, just take a look at one of our Good or Featured articles). I will probably work on Magmar tomorrow, though. [edit] 3 new starter pokemon
i feel the whole paragraph about what a starter pokemon is, is very un nessasary and the last sentance "XXXX is the fire type choice in D/P" is confusing on its own, i dont see a problem with just putting "XXX is the Fire/Water/Grass type starter Pokemon in D/P" its easier and more concise.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.194.7.253 (talk • contribs) .
[edit] New userboxes
I have deleted a userbox template you recently created, as userboxes should no longer be created in templatespace per the terms of the German userbox solution. Here is the userbox code so that you can recreate the userbox in your userspace ("userfying") if you wish.
~Thanks, taken and used.~ Double Dash

[edit] Richard Hammond
Hi, I saw that you said Richard Hammond is now described as in a stable condition, have you got a link for it?
[edit] License tagging for Image:Exdragonfrontiers.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Exdragonfrontiers.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:08, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template:TCG Set
Good concept, a few suggestions:
- Useful things to add (from Template:Infobox_mtgblockset): Expansion Symbol, Release Date, Expansion Code (e.g. UF for Unseen Forces)
- "Japanese Name" is N/A for many TCGs; put an if() around it, similar to Publisher
- "Set Before" and "Set After" are confusing IMO; consider changing to "Previous Set" and "Next Set"
- Search for existing pages for sets from other TCGs, and add this template there
