glad someone finally cleared up the Empire / Soviet / Federation hodge-podge. Kevlar67 20:58, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Neutrality
I was bold and removed the non-neutral line which stated that "Russian cinema widely suffered under the Soviet rule" and that "after the fall of the soviet system it would become internationally recognized again". This is not only non-neutral but factually incorrect since soviet films are indeed recognized internationally. ZealotKommunizma (talk) 23:32, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Hey does Russia theaters have a movie rating system like they do in the US and other countries? I looked all over the internet but I couldn't find any. Maybe I didn't look good enough? Do y'all know?? Where could I find out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.163.93.183 (talk) 20:37, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV
The collapse of the Soviet Union brought a virtual end to quality cinema in Russia and the other republics. The new Russian cinema is more profit-oriented, with artistic needs taking a backseat to more immediate desires.
