[edit] Tone

This is a long way from encyclopedic tone -- parts are clearly promotional, parts aimed at charming children. DavidOaks (talk) 02:22, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 16 million colours

The bit about the castle at night - saying it is lit with 16 million colours doesn't sound right. is this just bad grammar? Hellfire83 23:42, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hidden Apartment?

How could the apartment be left unfinished upon Walt's death in 1966 if the castle didn't even exist yet? I'm not sure of the actual construction dates of the castle, but I know there was nothing there in 1966. --Lyght 08:21, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

I think the space was intended for Disney VIPs, not Walt. It likely was an idea abandoned when Roy O. Disney died barely two months after Walt Disney World opened in 1971. —Whoville 22:20, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Good point, I heard this on the Travel Channel, too, and remember thinking that this was impossible. Maybe they had plans for it before Walt's death, and decided to keep it there out of classic Disney symbolism when they began to construct the area in which it was to be built. Who knows. ---WBHoenig 20:03, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright question - Disney press release in section on hidden apartment

An anonymous / non-logged in user has pasted in text from a disney press release describing the hidden apartment - I've cleaned the formatting up a bit but I am unsure of the rules with copyright for this sort of thing. presumably, as a press release, it's freely reproducable, but also presumably should be correctly referenced and cited? Rmkf1982 | Talk 12:44, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

I've been told the castle that inspired Cinderella Castle was this one: http://www.essential-architecture.com/SP-MA/MA-001.htm It looks more like C. one than the mentioned ones.

[edit] Inspiration section needs sourcing

Can we get some definitive sourcing on the castle inspiration section? Hopefully one of the Disney experts will be able to oblige. I'm sure there's been some published scholarship on this out there. Robert K S (talk) 06:47, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Castle Confusion

The castle on the logo for several disney companies is not cinderella castle, but Sleeping Beauty Castle, this is easy to recognize as Cinderella castle is much taller and vertical than Sleeping Beauty's and was finished before the death of Walt Disney... unlike Cinderella's —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.77.37.77 (talk) 23:38, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
