Cintecele Diavolui
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cintecele Diavolui (translates as "Devil's Songs" in English) is a side project of Norwegian industrial rock musician Mortiis. The name is Romanian (the correct form is actually "cântecele diavolului") and was chosen for its meaning and how it sounded. Mortiis got the name from his girlfriend at the time the project was formed.
The project's only album, The Devil's Songs, was composed using synthesizers, much like Mortiis earlier Era 1 work. The songs also contained no lyrics.
Cintecele Diavolui was disbanded to make time for Mortiis' main project of the same name.
Originally relased as 5 song 10"EP by DDM, 500 copies came on black vinyl, and 500 copies came on red vinyl. It was later issued on CD with 3 addendum songs by DDM, on a limited ron of 1000 copies. It was also reissued one more time by Cold Meat Industry as a digipak in another limited run of 1000 copies.
Inccuracies regarding the number of songs unfortunately occur on both CD versions.
