Cinna

Cinna was a Roman patrician family of the gens Cornelia.
Prominent members of this family include:
- Lucius Cornelius Cinna - Roman consul in 127 BC
- Lucius Cornelius Cinna - Roman consul four consecutive times between 87 BC and 84 BC; his daughter, Cornelia Cinna minor married Julius Caesar
- Cornelia Cinna minor - the wife of Julius Caesar
- Lucius Cornelius Cinna - grandson of Lucius Cornelius Cinna and praetor until 44 BC; he was a conspirator against Julius Caesar
- Helvius Cinna - a poet murdered for having the same name as Lucius Cornelius Cinna during the riots following Caesar's assassination
- Gnaeus Cornelius Cinna Magnus - conspirator against Augustus Caesar in AD 4; he is the subject of Pierre Corneille's play Cinna
