Cincinnati Flower Show is an annual flower show at Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. It is organized by the Cincinnati Horticultural Society. It claims to be the United States leading flower show.

The Show’s 2008 theme will have an international atmosphere, with "Wonders of the World" visitors are sure to find something they like. The Cincinnati Flower Show poster and theme were created by Interbrand, a global branding company. Recently, the Cincinnati Flower Show was featured in 1,000 Places to See in the USA and Canada Before You Die. In 2002 it was named ‘the king of all flower shows’ by Better Homes and Gardens Magazine and recognized as one of the Top 10 Great Flower Shows in the U.S. by USA Today.

2008 Show will continue expanding green living exhibits, suitable for both the garden and the home. Visitors will learn how to contribute their small part in ameliorating our environment and nature. The Cincinnati Flower Show is also committed in involving young families and children in by creating a fun experience and wonderful learning environment with the first "Small Wonders Weekend".

Some other highlights include:

Inspirational Gardens and Floral Exhibits  Grand Marquee Horticulture Exhibits–spectacular gardens, new varieties, single genus displays, urban living courtyards and fabulous garden structures.

 Cincinnati Park Board – “Traveling to China, Planting Friendships” exhibit will shorten to longest distances! The 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing will serve as the inspiration for this exhibit, born from the developing friendship between Cincinnati’s sister city of Liuzhou in China’s Guangxi Province. The exhibit will be previewed at the Flower Show, and then installed at the Krohn Conservatory for the 2008 Butterfly Show. The garden will blend Chinese tradition and Cincinnati architecture to build a beautiful, lyrical and practical garden. There will be an inlaid path made of stone and mosaic tiles, shaped like a dragon stretched across the two sides of the lake.

 Fantasy Garden – Neptune, God of the Sea: Roman mythology comes to life in the Grand Marquee’s Spotlight Garden. The centerpiece of this exhibit will be a towering Neptune charging from an ocean of blue flowers, trident held high, in a chariot pulled by two topiary sea horses. Unusual plants shaped like coral and waterfalls will accent Neptune’s under water realm.

 Meyer Aquascapes – Waterfall and ponds exhibits

 Dr Pottschmidt’s “Dream Come True” – World’s top new rose varieties will lure the likes of even non-rose lovers. Dream Come True, hybridized by Cincinnati’s very own rose doctor, Dr. John Pottschmidt, will be on display as part of Delhi Flower and Garden Center garden exhibit. This rose produces yellow blossoms blushed with ruby-red at the tips. Dream Come True is the All-America Rose Selections 2008 Rose of the Year. Dr. Pottschmidt is only the 3rd amateur hybridizer to win the AARS award in 67 years. 2008 marks AARS’s 70th anniversary.

 Hosta Single Genus: Over one-hundred hosta varieties will be on display from Wade & Gatton Nursery in Bellville, Ohio. Wade & Gatton are renowned hosta growers, having hybridized many well known varieties that will be featured in the 2008 Show.

 Organic Food Exhibit- Our top local farmers will bring together an exhibit featuring locally produced organic food.

 Patio Gardens- New this year! Part of the main horticulture tent will be devoted to extravagant containers for rooftop and patio gardens. Patio gardens feature the newest varieties of annuals and perennials in dramatic designs.

 Green Living-one of the most popular exhibits at last year’s show was our Greener Future exhibit. In collaboration with HGTV “Green Home”, we will be expanding the concept this year for visitors to learn the right landscaping and home design choices that will contribute a healthy environment and energy savings.

 Garden Antiques Show-Wes Cowen, a featured appraiser on Antiques Roadshow, the star of the PBS series History Detectives and founder/owner of Cowan’s Auctions, Inc. will make a special appearance at the Cincinnati Flower Show. On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, visitors to the Show can bring their antique garden treasures to Wes for an expert appraisal. (Moonlite Pavilion)

 Amateur Flower Show-Antique cars are the inspiration this year for exhibits by amateur gardeners and garden clubs.

Other Exhibits:  Dramatic Table Settings–tablescapes combining, art, accessories and extravagant floral centerpieces  Creative Container Gardens–unusual containers and whimsical combinations spark the imagination  Window Boxes–inspiring designs, spring blooms and colorful palettes for your windows  Professional Florists–a showcase for the region’s most talented floral designers features exciting vertical and sculptural designs as well as graceful classic interpretations inspired by art from the Artist’s Studio.  Artists’ Studio–art inspired by nature on canvas, sculpture, porcelain, photography, fiber art.
