[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Fidel Castro retirement letter.png
Thank you for uploading Image:Fidel Castro retirement letter.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:47, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008
Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Chile, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. In particular, you removed well-referenced paragraphs with relevant information without discussing first. Thank you. [edit] Your edit to Chile
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Chile. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- LaNicoya •Talk• 08:27, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest you re-read the edit summary and the notice above. I at no time mentioned the word "vandalism" so i would appreciate it if you refrain from accusing me of doing so.
- As for the San Antonio picture, there is nothing on the Chile article that mentions it. Also, th Chilean wine picture, and this page to which it redirects has no source for Chile being "the world's fifth largest exporter of wine".-- LaNicoya •Talk• 03:24, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] More on Chile
I see you deleted bunch of text from the intro of the article dismissing it as propaganda. This has become an edit war so you need to explain why you consider it to be propaganda on the talkpage or leave it be all toghether, your choice. Thanks. --Stefán Örvarr Sigmundsson (talk) 02:29, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- There's no need for this propaganda to be on the intro. The International Rankings section has enough neutral information. No need to make a favorable selection of it on the intro. ☆ CieloEstrellado 03:34, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well I don't see how it's propaganda. I've compared it to other country articles and many of them start with enumerations of ranks, which is good as long as the source is cited, and it is. Also, you changed some things in the country template, and it doesn't seem to add up. --Stefán Örvarr Sigmundsson (talk) 03:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
-
- Your argument about placement bias may be valid, but you must discuss this in the Chile talk page first. Unilateral removal of seemingly bona fide information will be seen as vandalism and not make you many friends here, even they agree with you. Also, you have changed a large number of figures without explanation or citing your sources. That makes people suspicious. Cambrasa (talk) 08:27, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- I did not add those statistics but I don't see how they are bias. See my respond. --Stefán Örvarr Sigmundsson (talk) 17:06, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

No need to constantly delete cited information from the article.Selecciones de la Vida (talk) 19:05, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Dear CieloEstrellado, you have yet again deleted the second paragraph on the Chile article. Please refrain from doing this, as it will be interpreted as unilateral action and edit warring, as long as the discussion on the Talk page hasn't been resolved yet (which it hasn't). In particular, the consensus seems to be that including thoses statistics is not propaganda. Also, you still haven't answered the questions about why you changed figures without giving a reason or citing sources. As long as you haven't explained those edits people will suspect you are here for vandalism, and question your motives for removing the paragraph. Cambrasa (talk) 19:10, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Dear Sir; Please, stop deleting cited information from the introduction of this article. You have recently engaged yourself in edit warring, and as you probably know that type of behavior is unacceptable as per wikipedia starndars. Future unexplianed edit as well as not dicussed deletions to that article will be used as evidence of your repetitive behavior, as it will be promptly reported. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gabiela_Mistral_con_Santiago_Martinez_Delgado.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gabiela_Mistral_con_Santiago_Martinez_Delgado.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 05:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tax rates around the world
You reverted my UK updates on the grounds that they were unsourced. In fact they were sourced - they are on the referenced source (worldwide-tax.com). I have now replaced the source with a more reliable one.

Could you please explain your tag on the Taxation in the United States talk regarding the into? Please state what point of view is missing regarding what is taxed or the level of taxation. Also, are you the same editor as User:Cielomobile - Thanks Morphh (talk) 16:07, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Don't change the content, no cambies el contenido
It's a fact that chile has a different culture from the rest of latin-america, i don't know why you delete the comments related to that fact.

[edit] List of countries by GDP (nominal) per capita
I can see that you also try to keep this list flawless and I think you do a good job. However, there are recently these repeated edit by some 90.129 IPs changing the CIA data for France. You keep reverting this edit. Could you please explain me why. When I visit the CIA factbook and try to compute this value, I come to the conclusion that the edit of the IP is actually better than what you are imposing. Correct me if I am wrong, but the CIA does not state the nominal value per capita, so a little calculation has to be performed. I am calculating the following 33800 * 2515/2067 = 41125.8, where the first figure is the GDP per capita in PPP, the second is GDP (official exchange rate), and the last figure is GDP in PPP. So the IPs adjustment to 41313 seems much better than the stated 39261. Please motivate your reverts to me. Thanks Tomeasy (talk) 16:45, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Nice that you've adopted the change in the meantime. However, I would have really appreciated if you had taken care for this issue already after I left you the above message, which explains the flaw from another perspective, but very precisely. Instead you kept me short with a reference to a footnote, after which I had to explain the same issue again in terms of the footnote. I just wanted to let you know that this treatment did not make me feel comfortable. I am looking forward to a good collaboration on this site and elsewhere in the future. [edit] List of countries by number of Internet users
Stop removing well-referenced content. Not only it's rude to undo major edits like these without even consulting me or presenting an argument, but it's also considered vandalism under Wikipedia guidelines. You know very well that marketing research agencies are a valid source when it comes to things like internet or cellphone penetration, specially considering that their data is more recent than that of the CIA Factbook. In fact, I was careful enough to leave the CIA Factbook as a source for those territories in which there was no data at the World Internet Stats database. If you don't stop your vandalism, I will request arbitration for a moderator.--Mangy Cheshire Cat (talk) 16:27, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

[edit] Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala and Panama
The three countries you reverted in the poverty article have true information, I'm not faking anything, Guatemala, has nationwide poverty rates of under 30% (maybe 29%), Panama's normal poverty line counts 20% and Venezuela's does too. I do not did anything against Wikipedia policies, after all, you all mentioned the USA mentioned "just poverty" while Mexico mentioned "Extreme Poverty". There is, I'm giving JUST POVERTY without the extreme extra that is not counted for the USA and the UK.
200.75.209.57 (talk) 02:19, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
In case you don't understand, you should review some of the sources, such as Guatemala, since sources such as this are accurate, Guatemala's nationwide poverty index is at less than 30% according to the ECLAC/CEPAL source. 200.75.209.57 (talk) 02:41, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of countries by total personal income
I'm not sure why you moved this page; i.e., what indication you have that the income figures listed reflect after-tax income. The page from which the figures were taken (with permission) does not indicate that this is the case; shouldn't we assume that they are using the term "total personal income" properly?QuixoticKate (talk) 13:04, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chaitén (volcano)
I notice that the See also section of this article has been reverted. It was added because the Michinmahuida article linked to this article in its See also section. It made sense for the two articles to consistently link to each other. Truthanado (talk) 15:35, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Switch to star ratings
Regarding this edit where you switched numerical ratings (eg. 8.7/10) to star ratings. You shouldn't do this, if a publication gives a rating in numbers you should leave it as numbers, you can't just convert numbers to stars. This makes it more accurate. (there is also no such thing as a 0.3 star) For more information, see Template:Infobox Album#Professional reviews. - kollision (talk) 04:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

I would like to become mediator for the case if both parties approve, please state your opinion on the page. Please stop changing electoral templates and especially Italian ones. Thank you. --Checco (talk) 15:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Because they are stylistically better before and the fact that I'm not the first user who make you know that he disagrees with your edits should make you think. --Checco (talk) 16:03, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] election templates
I asked you once, and you didn't answer me in any way and instead continued changing templates. I find that disrespectful. Please stop changing them now. This isn't about what you think looks the nicest or personal opinions. I don't care what you do to other templates, but since I spent lots of time on those templates and I do most of the edits about French elections, I respectfully ask that you stop putting templates back to what you think is nice. I'm asking you nicely and respectfully, please stop changing the templates. Please. Thank you. I don't appreciate it. I won't come and change your templates elsewhere, because that's not my matters, but please don't change my templates. I know that other editors have asked you to do likewise, for example User:Checco, and I noticed that you stopped editing his templates and actually answered him on his talk page, none of which you did with me. I respectfully ask that you do the same with my templates.
Thank you, and I'd appreciate answers on my talk page or atleast a stop in your barbaric editing of electoral templates, French ones in particular. --Petrovic-Njegos (talk) 00:36, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with Petrovic-Njegos and I think that you should revert all your edits on election templates. If they are all very similar, it is because many editors prefer that version instead of yours. --Checco (talk) 15:44, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mac OS X v10.6
I'm sorry, but what the hell do you think you're doing? The article should be named Mac OS X v10.6, not OS X 10.6, as has been the convention for years. You're also not providing any edit summaries for your edits, especially reversions and moves, which is extremely disrespectful to other editors. -/- Warren 17:30, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
