[edit] Colors
My excursion to the wide world of the wiki wainbow...
How do I put colours in my signature?? Thanks in advance ;) (Çiddlər 12:00, 14 February 2007 (UTC))
- Greetings, Çiddlər! ;) Please see: WP:SIGNATURE#Customizing your signature. Hope this helps. —XhantarTalk 12:08, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- So I shouldn't use colours in my signature? (Çiddlər 12:36, 14 February 2007 (UTC))
-
-
- No, you can. The information at WP:SIGNATURE#Customizing_your_signature is meant as a guideline. Just use common sense, such as not using light yellow on a white background, which would make it hard to read. One example of a user that uses color extensively in his signature, is The Transhumanist. His looks like this: The Transhumanist
-
-
-
- For example, if you want to change your signature so it appears in a shade of green, go to "my preferences", make sure "Raw signature" is selected, and put the following in the "Signature" box:
-
-
-
--[[User:Ciddler|<font color="#008000">Çiddlər</font>]]
-
-
-
- (That #008000 is a hex triplet, used to specify colors in HTML code.) When you then sign your posts, your signature should look like this: --Çiddlər
-
-
-
- Also see Wikipedia:How_to_fix_your_signature for more information. —XhantarTalk 13:47, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

- Ok! I got it now! Thanks!! (Çiddlər 14:04, 14 February 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Photo
Concerning Aishwarya Rai, you said: "Concerning a photo for this Article, I contacted the President of Canyon Entertainment regarding a photo for this article. I still have to explain that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. [...] The President requested me for a link to the actual article and has to be sure that the photo used will only be included in this article. How can we make sure that is possible??
- Sorry, these terms are unacceptable. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for information on how to request an image which can be modified and used by third parties without restriction. --Yamla 15:42, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

- Right, sorry about that. I will stop the communication with him. --Çiddlər 08:35, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 12:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- No prob HagermanBot. I just keep on forgetting to do it! ----Çiddlər 13:06, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Luvbrasil.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Luvbrasil.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Kaiaphas.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kaiaphas.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 13:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
