[edit] Proposed name change

This name is too cumbersome, and doesnot really fit Wikipedia guidelines on articles names. I suggest:

CIA arms control, WMD, and proliferation activities

Any objections? Any better suggestions? Ground Zero | t 04:48, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps "CIA transnational activities in counterproliferation". The transnational aspect is important, since this particular area often deals with movements of even conventional arms through multiple countries. CIA itself has reorganized the function into a Counterproliferation Center, which mixes people from the intelligence and operations directorates, as well as other agencies. Indeed, some of these functions may yet move under the DNI, which makes writing history more difficult. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 05:00, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
