Ciarán Toner (born June 30, 1981) is a Northern Ireland international football player, playing for Grimsby Town in the Football League Two.

In 2003 he played in two matches for his country, replacing Damien Johnson in a friendly against Italy, and Thomas Doherty in a 0-0 draw with Spain.

[edit] Lincoln City

Toner left Lincoln City under a cloud after being involved in a "training ground incident" with Marcus Richardson, which resulted in both players being fined, loaned out to other clubs and released at the end on the season.

[edit] Grimsby Town

In his first season with Grimsby, Toner has been in and out of the side. Starting the season on the bench, he got a run in the team due to Jean-Paul Kamudimba Kalala being absence on international duty, but he lost his place again when Curtis Woodhouse was signed in the January transfer window.

In his second season at Grimsby, Toner finished joint top scorer with 8 goals, as he played a large part in keeping Alan Buckley's side in the Football League.

Toner signed a new 2 year deal in the summer of 2007.
