CHWV-FM is an adult contemporary hit radio station in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It is better known as 97.3 The Wave. The station manager is David Boone and the program director is Bruce Weaver.
The station is owned by Acadia Broadcasting Limited, (a subsidiary of Ocean Capital Investments) which also owns CHSJ-FM (Country 94) in Saint John, CKBW-FM in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, and CHTD-FM (98.1 The Tide) in St. Stephen, and Northwoods Broadcasting Limited stations in Ontario.
The Wave's first broadcast was on February 19, 2001.
The Wave and its sister station CHSJ-FM (Country 94) are known for their very strong community involvement and local news efforts.
