To me, Wikipedia looks like a recreational editing site, but a few administrators have been putting critical remarks on my talk page as if my edits mattered. Since I can’t block them back, I’ve decided to make believe my edits are really important. I’ll pretend people use Wikipedia as an encyclopedia and that an edit link isn’t for fun. Unfortunately, this will make it next to impossible to find anything to edit, but I’ll suspend my disbelief anyhow. My qualifications to edit an encyclopedia include a bachelor’s in Biology and a high school diploma. I’ve read several books on freelance writing from a book club and also passed a correspondence course in writing. During my college years I read several novels and also some books on creationism, which accepts both divine creation and Noah’s Ark. An editor probably needs to know how to read. My current Wikipedia project is to review my editing history to find edits worth mentioning on my user page. It’s interesting to use the online editing software, but if I try to donate another article, I think I’ll write it with one of my PC’s documents first, to shorten the article’s draft history.
