Spanish and Portugese? I thought churrasco was only Brazilian? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.29.133.232 (talk • contribs)

Nope. I actually thought it was only Spanish for a long time. Mariano(t/c) 07:03, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
No, like the article says, it is very popular in many Latin American countries, and does very from each one. They are immensely popular here in Brazil, being much like an American barbecue. It is on the list of project Uraguay, shouldn't it be on some Brazilian project too?

[edit] Questioned phrasing

"In other parts of Brazil (including most famously in Rio de Janeiro) people also prepare churrasco at their homes, where it is usually served outdoors with lots of beer, music and beside a pool or watching soccer games on TV with friends, basically what Americans do, with football replacing soccer." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.72.62.244 (talk • contribs) 01:43, 27 February 2007

The above comment apparently questions the purpose or type of that phrasing. (SEWilco 04:32, 3 July 2007 (UTC))
