[edit] Link policy

In order that the Church of Christ article remain useful, it regular editors have come to a consensus on a link policy. Please discuss any exceptions or changes to this policy on the Talk: Church of Christ page before posting a link.

  • Links should be representative of and clearly proclaiming association with the churches of Christ.
  • Sites should be well-known and influential within at least one branch of the churches of Christ (not using Wikipedia to build viewership, but listed in Wikipedia because of existing viewership).
  • No local congregations or individual blogs should be linked in order to prevent link flood.
  • Sites should be content-rich; content should not be significantly pay-only.
  • Sites should be as general interest and representative as possible.
  • If a page exists for a branch (ICOC or NI churches), please consider whether links specific to that branch belong on this page or that one.
  • Web rings or other promotional traffic-building tools should not be linked.
  • Critical sites are permitted if the issues raised are substantive (doctrine, common practice) rather than ad-hominem (anecdotes, personal criticism).
