[edit] Nonsense?

This article sounds like nonsense. At a bare minimum, it needs some citations.

I'm afraid that when things get very strange it can start sounding too strange to be true. What actually happened is unclear but the entry is a reasonable interpretation of what has been published on the events. I have expanded the entry and thrown in the asked for sources which I hope should resolve the dispute even if it doesn't provide any answers. (Emperor 17:29, 3 March 2006 (UTC))
OK I removed the disputed tag as I think I have done what was asked to resolve this. If there are other issues then let me know and I'll see what I can do to resolve them. (Emperor 03:22, 4 March 2006 (UTC))

I know what chupas are! Here's my explanation:

[edit] "They make a humming sound like a refrigerator or a transformer."

This is Megatron's doing...isn't it!!!

[edit] A counterpoint

Before the rotten vegitables start flying, I would like to say that I am an open minded skeptic. To find the real paranormal, you have to look at all possible explanations. The descriptions make this anomaly sound like ball lightning. It is a poorly understood phenomina, and it's notable features are the distict humming electrical noise that the brightly glowing orb of plasma emits, and the fact that the charge unleashed when it destablelizes can be lethal. This is a very real phenomenon, and it is certantly more interesting than the idea of UFOs as there must be something about this region which promotes the formation of this extremely rare natural phenomenon. Another possibility is the also poorly understood piezoelectric effect generated by the quartz present in fault lines, which can create will-o-the-wisps, best seen in the well documented Marfa Lights. These are a few considerations which should be included in this article.--Scorpion451 01:29, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

IT IS CLEARLY THE WORK OF REPTILIAN BUGGERS LIKE BUSH AND THE ROTHCHILDS.

It lends you so much credance when you type in all capitals.--Scorpion451 16:34, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
YOU ARE ON THERE SIDE! YOU ARE ONE OF THEMS!!!!!!

[edit] Lethal beams

I have to wonder if the statement "Some people have even died by the lethal beams emitted by the chupas" is really appropriate... It seems to assume it's true, and not npov. I'd modify it but I'm really not feeling like coming up with something right now. Viper168 06:47, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
