[edit] Famous Stars mostly foreign?
Why are the famous past stars mostly foreign? I dont know the history well enough to say that this isnt right, but it just doesnt seem right.. or, at least, it seems 'biased' as to what "famous" means. What about Komatsu Tatsuo?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.6.11.56 (talk • contribs) 22:26, 27 February 2007.
[edit] Removed line
I removed:
Dragons now, is said that their pitchers are number one in 12 teams.
because I have no idea what it means. Anyone care to interpret it? — Braaropolis | Talk 17:42, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- It could possibly be stating that the Dragons have the best pitching in Japanese baseball. I won't revert to the possible intent as I am not sure what the original author meant. - Plexust 00:41, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Meaning of 中日
What does "中日" mean? "Mid-day?" Is it the name of a sponsor, like "ロッテ" and "日本ハム" and such? Garrett Albright 10:05, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
- It means middle of japan—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.2.211.234 (talk • contribs) 14:00, 6 April 2006.
中日新聞 (Chunichi Shinbun) is a newspaper. 220.27.238.238 14:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.27.238.238 (talk • contribs) 14:10, 10 October 2006.
[edit] Old Logo
I can't speak for the cartoonish mascot, but the Dragons no longer use the cursive-script Los Angeles Dodgers-esque "Dragons" logo. I don't see it on the Japanese page but I see it on TV all the time, it's blocky with a C linked to the D. How do we get the new one?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Feitclub (talk • contribs) 09:39, 27 April 2006.
[edit] Tom Selleck
I'm removing Tom Selleck from the "Former Famous Stars" section. My best guess is 1) Tom Selleck is an actual american baseball player who just happens to be linked to the American actor. 2) This is a joke by someone who's seen Mr Baseball (1992). Or 3) Someone took Mr Baseball (1992) a little too seriously.
Please prove me wrong, because I'd love to know if Tom Selleck actually played professional baseball in Japan. Zukkie44 (talk) 22:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
