[edit] Ground rules
Given that there may be a lot of rumour going around soon enough and well meaning new editors making bad editors, a few ground rules I hope all editors bear in mind. Firstly remember this is a BLP and concerns at least two living people. Therefore no unsourced statements, gossip etc about living people, period. If it doesn't have a reliable source it doesn't belong in the article. Secondly even with a reliable source BLP requires us to consider the privacy of individuals. While Chua himself probably can have limited expectation of privacy given he's a high profile public figure, the other person in the DVD probably can. In particular, even if the name leaks out and this is covered in a reliable source, I see no merit to including it in the article unless it either becomes so widespread or she was already noteable outside of the DVD. Thirdly, there is little justification for including links to clips from the video. There are all sorts of privacy, copyright etc issues here which almost definitely mean it won't be acceptable. [edit] Psychiatrist or psychologist?
The article says he trained in psychology but practiced psychiatry. This is confusing since these are not the same thing and as far as I'm aware this is the same in Malaysia as well. Someone who trains in psychology cannot simply practice psychiatry. A psychiatrist is basically a medical doctor who specialised in the field of psychiatry. He or she may have some training in psychology but predominantly their training would be in pscychiatry. On the other hand, a psychologist is not a medical doctor. Instead they do a PhD or similar in Psychology and usually have to be registered with a Psychology Association. I tried to resolve this myself but primarily came across blog links which make the same claim. From what I can tell he was a government doctor and worked in a hospital so my guess is he's a psychiatrist Nil Einne (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 13:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
