Church of Jesus Christ Restored 1830
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Church of Jesus Christ Restored 1830 is a small sect in the Latter Day Saint movement that is headquartered in Tarkio, Missouri. The church broke away from the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the mid-1980s under the leadership of RLDS Church seventy Nolan W. Glauner.
The Church of Jesus Christ Restored 1830 claims to be the rightful successor to the Church of Christ established by Joseph Smith, Jr. on April 6, 1830. The church teaches that Glauner is a prophet and that he receives revelations from Jesus Christ. It recognizes the first four prophet–presidents of the Community of Christ as the rightful successors to Joseph Smith, but they regard Wallace B. Smith as a "fallen prophet" who erred in opening the priesthood to women and in deciding to build the Independence Temple instead of building the city of Zion in Independence, Missouri.
The church registered its name with the state of Missouri on October 6, 2000. It has members in Missouri and Africa.
