Chuquiago

Chuquiago, (more precisely, Chuquiyapu Marka), is the Aymara name for the area that later became the city of La Paz, Bolivia. This aymara name comes from two aymara words "chuqui", 'gold' and "yapu", 'farm'. Residents of Chuquiago are called "Chukuta".
