The chupare stingray (Himantura schmardae) is a species of fish in the Dasyatidae family. It is found in Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are open seas, shallow seas, and estuarine waters.
