Chulmleigh

Chulmleigh is a remote, Saxon hilltop town located in the heart of Devon. It is located 20 miles north west of Exeter in the North Devon district just north of the district boundary, linked by the A377 and the B3096.

Chulmleigh has some very old architecture with many cob and thatched buildings. It is located close to the Tarka Railway Line and although it does not have its own station, it is around two miles from both Eggesford and King's Nympton.

Chulmleigh has a retained Fire station which is part of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. The secondary school is the Chulmleigh Community College, has been amongst Devon's highest GCSE league tables. The village pub is the Old Court House on South Molton Street. The parish church is St Mary Magdalene.

There are many local businesses and organisations, including Chulmleigh Cricket Club and Chulmleigh Golf Course.
