Chuck Wright is an American bassist, best known as the former bassist of heavy metal band Quiet Riot. He originally joined Quiet Riot in 1982 and performed on their album, Metal Health, as well as contributing backing vocals. He left and rejoined Quiet Riot multiple times, most recently rejoining in August 2006 to support the album Rehab.
Chuck's career in mainstream heavy metal first took off with his band Giuffria's hit "Call To The Heart" in early 1985. He left Giuffria after their first album, but his reputation as one of the most accomplished bass players later landed him spots with the following bands/artists: Atsushi Yokozeki Project, Bad Moon Rising, Blackthorne, Chris Catena, Christian Tolle Project, Doro, Impellitteri, Kuni, MSG, Magdalen, Murderer's Row, Ted Nugent, Pata, Paul Shortino's The Cutt, Stephen Pearcy, Restless, Stuart Smith, Stream, Ken Tamplin, Tributes, and Kelly Keeling. He would also perform on former Giuffria frontman David Glen Eisley's solo work. Later, he became a member of the Giuffria spin-off band, House of Lords.
He also guested as a backing vocalist for W.A.S.P.. Chuck often plays a fretless bass.
