[edit] Why

Why do we need a seperate category for Churches in London, instead of having the churches listed under London places of worship as they were until today?. It seems to me that as the vast majority of places of worship in London are churches, this change does not help (much) in terms of limiting category size but simply deepens the heirarchy and makes it less usable. -- Chris j wood 16:54, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I would guess that there are many, many mosques, temples, synagogues, sacred places etc in London. If and when all of these get articles London places of worship would be huge! It makes more sense to me to have separate categories for this eventuality. Just my 2p. Corvine 17:02, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
The places of worship category can't properly be placed in the parent churches category. CalJW 23:51, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

There is a bit of inconsistency in the use of the dot after "St". I see that after "St Thomas" (without a dot) we have "St. Andrew" (with a dot). Does someone have the authority to enforce a standard?
