Chthonerpeton indistinctum is a species of amphibian in the Caeciliidae family. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, pastureland, irrigated land, seasonally flooded agricultural land, and canals and ditches. It is threatened by habitat loss.
