Chthonerpeton exile is a species of amphibian in the Caeciliidae family. It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, pastureland, irrigated land, seasonally flooded agricultural land, canals and ditches.
