[edit] Spam-ish email from you
You recently sent an email to me because I had edited The Firesign Theatre article. I realize you might have just been being friendly by notifying me of the Yahoo group of FT fans and what appears to be a long-running fan newsletter but this loosely falls into the category of spam. I'd appreciate it if you would refrain from emailing people on the basis of what article they edit. I suspect I'm not the first you've done this to. Since your username and the newsletter name seem connected, I also suspect this is at least part of the reason you are on Wikipedia. Please don't use Wikipedia to solicit for your projects. Thanks, Pigman☿ 18:35, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please note that my noticeboard post did not specify the user/editor involved. This was deliberate. It was more a solicitation for feedback than reporting a problem. And note again I'm not giving details or links here to that post because that's not really the point. If I seem to be failing at assuming good faith in this instance, I apologize. There is a rather constant influx of editors who do attempt to use WP for self-aggrandizement and sometimes I over-read and misinterpret signs of this activity. Cheers, Pigman☿ 00:16, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Daughters of the Nile
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Daughters of the Nile, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
