[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and a note about promotional editing
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to body language. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you have any questions please feel free to leave me a message at the bottom of my talk page by clicking on my name to the right. -- SiobhanHansa 16:01, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Body language
Hi Christopher, you should probably start by taking a look at our guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest. There isn't a total prohibition on mentioning your own work in an article if you are generally considered an acknowledged expert in the area and you can do so in a way that is in keeping with our neutral point of view policy.
However, in the case of the body language article and your book, it would be unlikely to be appropriate since, you don't seem to have that sort of standing and a self published e-book is not considered suitable verification of assertions. Additions that reference the books and papers you used in your own research might be more appropriate.
In terms of the photos, the English Wikipedia does not accept works with credits in the image itself (see our image use policy), so they would need to be edited if they were to be used.
I also have some concerns about the content you have added - I'll comment on these on the article talk page so other editors can join the discussion. Thanks -- SiobhanHansa 03:42, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:KS3U0868 caption.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:KS3U0868 caption.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shinerunner (talk) 00:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
