[edit] List of trojan horses deletion vote notice

Thanks for your vote for the list of computer viruses. Please consider voting similarly for the list of trojan horses as well. Thank you - A-Day 01:15, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your help! A-Day 01:32, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
    • No problem. I am unfamiliar with the method of posting to user comment pages... but thanks for alerting me to that other article. Such lists are the collaberative effort of many wikipedians and is what Wikipedia is all about. To suggest their deletion is outrageous. --Christopher 02:21, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
      • Yeah, putting the list up for deletion wasn't in the best taste, but he still does some good editting. I'm glad you have such a deep respect for the work that Wikipedia is. There's so much to learn from it on so many levels. Thank you - A-Day 02:33, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Bugmenot.jpg

Speedy deletion warning Image:Bugmenot.jpg has been listed at Category:Candidates for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant with Image:Bugmenot.png.

[edit] Re: Incredible Machine link

I'll respond in the main talk page so that others can see that response more easily rather than looking here. --Firien § 19:32, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Raisin_Wheats.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Raisin_Wheats.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 17:57, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Inconsiderate

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Inconsiderate, by SkierRMH (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Inconsiderate fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

dictionary definition already in wiktionary

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Inconsiderate, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:29, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Equation Editor for MSOffice2003Support.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Equation Editor for MSOffice2003Support.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:06, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Raisin Wheats.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Raisin Wheats.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
