- Is Chromeo a parody band? I have watched their videos on YouTube and they seem to be parodying many 1980s electrofunk conventions in a humorous fashion (such as overusing the talk box), not to mention their videos all have a humorous "non-serious" bent to them. They don't seem to give the impression that they're really being serious. --Section8pidgeon 10:11, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

- They seem serious to me. They just have a sense of humor about it- you have to admit that the style and tone of the time period which they emulate was rather ridiculous. I don't know many joke bands that produce as good an album as Fancy Footwork. I feel like it's more of a "What happened to music like that? Let's bring it back." sort of thing- just as much as various "The _____" bands have brought back the lo-fi 70's garage band sound.--C.Logan 17:14, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
