[edit] Copyvio
Added a copyvio tag shortly after this was created. I was searching to find out if this person met WP:MUSIC and immediately recognized the text in other webpages. I chose the highest ranking one I noticed in Google, which was http://www.12k.com/willits.html . It appears to be a direct copy/paste, and appears on other sites too. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 20:01, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

- Hi there, and welcome to Wikipedia! Please note that Wikipedia is released under the GNU license, and that the content of the article will likely be substantially revised. WP is not a press release service, so you must expect the text to be altered by other editors. I just want to make sure you know this before releasing permission. Once that's acknowledged, assuming other editors agree that this is kosher to recover, then there's an additional thing that I guarantee will come up, which is the WP:MUSIC issue. Please cite which WP:MUSIC criteria this performer meets in anticipation of avoiding a vote for deletion, if any apply. Best regards, CHAIRBOY (☎) 22:46, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

- Hi ! Yes we know the text will be altered by editors, and encourage that. Yes, we still release permission, many thanks ! Willits meets WPMusic criteria, #'s 2, 3, and 4. and possibly 5 and 6. reference to these criteria can be found at artists website. http://christopherwillits.com Do you need more information? thanks. 23:40, 18 September 2005.

- This really should have been resolved using a response to an email and then filed with Wikipedia's permissions dept as noted per WP:CP procedures. RedWolf 07:24, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

FIXED: I fixed this page and made a reference to the page. 2005-10-02 23:50 PM Jon Phillips
[edit] NPOV
Jon Phillips is referenced, and one of the editors has the same name. This is not in itself wrong, but then the burden of proof that this article is NPOV goes up due to the conflict of interest. Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. I quote:
"Editing from too close
An article about a little-known musician or band should preferably not be by the musician, a member, or a manager, roadie, groupie, etc. [edit]
Problem edits taxonomy
Types include:
- The insertion of links that appear to promote products by pointing to obscure or not particularly relevant commercial sites. (Also called commercial links.)
- The insertion of links that appear to promote otherwise obscure individuals by pointing to their personal pages. (Vanity links.)"
