[edit] Professor 1977-2005?

To quote from Past and Present, 195 Supplement 2 (2007), List of Contributors (pp. 325-328), 'Chris Wickham taught at the University of Birmingham between 1977 and 2005...' If he had been Professor for all that time I think it would say so. This page from OUP, Framing the Early Middle Ages says that he got his DPhil in 1975. To be a professor just two years after getting a doctorate seems unlikely. Even Rowan Williams and Timothy Barnes didn't get professorial chairs until their mid-30s.--Oxonian2006 (talk) 13:10, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Problem solved. See article.--Oxonian2006 (talk) 20:00, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
